About Solarize South Carolina

Who We Are

Solarize South Carolina is a community-driven program led by SmartPower, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to help Americans make smart energy choices.  Our goal is to provide South Carolina residents and businesses with the knowledge to make an informed decision and the tools to go from wanting solar to installing it.

Solarize is an award winning and proven “group buy” solar program that is accelerating growth of solar in many communities across the United States.  Solarize provides access to pre-screened solar installers as well as $0-down financing through our partners at Dividend Solar to make it easy to go solar.

Why Is Solar Right For South Carolina?

South Carolina has, on average, 227 sunny days per year, beating the nationwide average of 190 days a year. South Carolina also has some of the highest energy rates of all southern states. Favorable legislation in South Carolina including net metering, and federal and local tax credits and rebates, along with record low PV system costs make taking advantage of those sunny days easy and affordable.

Why Solarize SC?

We work with local pre-screened installers to make it easy to find out if your home or business is right for solar.  Plus flexible financing options allow you to make a cost-effective decision about going solar, including a $0-down option that allows you to lower your energy bills.  And, we walk you through the process every step of the way with our team of personal solar advisors.

Special Reward

If a Solarize community or neighborhood achieves 60 signed contracts for solar before the program deadline, Solarize South Carolina will donate a typical residential sized solar system to the community at a location of their choice.
